What is IMMORTAL PHOENIX?
IMMORTAL PHOENIX is a core booster for the Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG, the version of the game released in Japan. It is scheduled for release on 31 October 2026 (Saturday). Its headline addition is the new "Sun God" archetype, a Marik-inspired theme built around The Winged Dragon of Ra.
The facts at a glance
- Product: Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG IMMORTAL PHOENIX, Japanese edition
- Japanese release date: 31 October 2026 (several Japanese and trade sources agree; we have not yet seen the official product page)
- Per pack: 5 cards, ¥198 including tax (as quoted from the publisher's announcement; confirm on the official page)
- Per box: 30 packs (to be confirmed on the official page)
- Set size: 80 cards (trade database)
The Sun God theme
Konami previewed the first Sun God cards ahead of release, including The Sun God's Poet - Helpoemer, The Sun God's Destructor - Makyura and a Fusion version of the Ra monster. For collectors, a new theme gives a clear reason to pick up the set as a whole rather than a single card.
OCG or TCG: which one is this?
The OCG is the Japanese edition of the game and the TCG is the English-language edition. Card pools, rarities and release dates can differ between them. This booster is the OCG release; we have not confirmed an English-language release, so check the publisher's announcements if you are weighing the two.
Why buy the Japanese edition?
Collectors who want a set as first released, with Japanese card text and packaging, source from Japan directly. Sealed boxes and packs from a seller who ships internationally are the usual route.
What to check before you order
- Release date and contents: confirm on the official Konami product page.
- Language: make sure the listing says Japanese edition (OCG).
- Condition and packaging: sealed product is the standard for a new release.
- Delivery and duties: shipping times and import charges vary by country.
